Opening Night

Prohibition Party

Saturday, October 5, 4:30 p.m.

Silicon Valley Capital Club, 50 W San Fernando St, San Jose, CA 95113

Join us for a roaring 1920s celebration at Symphony San Jose’s Prohibition Party Opening Night event!

This ain’t just any soiree, old sport; we are raising funds for Symphony San Jose’s community and education programs, which are simply the bee’s knees!

Say, don’t believe the rumors of a secret Speakeasy Bar, everything will be above board, you hear? The Prohibition Party is a political group that opposes the sale or consumption of alcoholic beverages—it is an integral part of the temperance movement!

Remember folks, the true fun is for those who can read between the lines… passwords and winks are our currency. Get your tickets and all details will be revealed!

4:30pm: Drinks and Jazz on the Terrace: Start your evening with some “tea” with a kick. Just don’t ask too many questions. Enjoy our swell live jazz trio and city views.

5:30pm: Dinner and Music Notes: Relish a delicious dinner and learn about the magic behind our Opening Night concert, Jon Nakamatsu & the Jazz Age

6:30pm: Live Auction: Bid on exclusive experiential items in support of Symphony San Jose’s community and education programs.

7:00pm: Pre-Concert Festivities: Stroll down to the ritzy California Theatre to enjoy more surprises and celebrations. Contact us to organize your own pedicab!

9:30pm: Post-Concert Reception: Prohibition Party guests are invited to close the evening by having some giggle water and desserts with our musicians in the California courtyard and terrace—it’ll be the cat’s meow!
