We seek to share the transformative, uplifting, and healing power that music can provide. Whether it be youth development, public outreach, or adult education, we foster the appreciation and understanding of symphonic music, bringing people together to enrich the cultural health of our community.

    Fourth Grade Students

    Symphonic music meets math in this motivational elementary school program. Symphony San Jose invites fourth grade students from schools within the community every year to experience live performances at the California Theatre.

  • SoundCheck

    Under 25

    SoundCheck is an engagement program that provides children, teens, and young adults (25 years and under) with a season subscription to Classics at the California for only $25. Step out into the community and develop a love of music.

  • Music Notes

    Adults 18+

    If you’re looking to dive deeper into your concert experience, Music Notes is the perfect addition. Music Notes takes place one hour before each Classics at the California concert, where we provide insights and fun facts to enhance your concert experience.

  • Music Without Borders

    All Ages

    We believe everyone deserves equal access to symphonic music. If you can’t come to the Symphony, the Symphony will come to you! Music Without Borders brings chamber ensembles to children’s hospitals, senior living facilities, community centers, and other public gathering spaces.
