Other orchestras/ensembles/festivals you have or currently play with:

Berkeley Symphony, California Symphony, Marin Symphony, Oakland Symphony, Opera San José, San Francisco Ballet, San Jose Chamber Orchestra, Stockton Symphony

Most memorable musical experience:

Learning the complete cycle of 15 Shostakovich quartets in two months to perform with the Alexander String Quartet—an intense yet rewarding challenge.

If you weren't a musician, what would you be doing:

Probably a software developer or working in a field that involves math and logical thinking. Both coding and playing classical music require precision, late nights, and the occasional moment of questioning all my life choices at 2 a.m.

Hobbies:

When not playing music, I’m usually watching way too much true crime with my dog and wondering if I missed my calling as a detective. I’ve always loved figuring things out, whether it’s working through a new piece of music or unraveling the twists of a true crime story.

Favorite vacation spot:

I’m still building my travel résumé, but my ideal vacation is anywhere with good coffee, beautiful nature, and a chance to slow down—and it’s always a plus if my dog can come along!

What three things can always be found in your refrigerator:

Oat milk (because caffeine helps me function), Sriracha (just because… who doesn’t like Sriracha?), and my dog’s treats (bribery works wonders)

If you could give one piece of advice to your younger self, what would it be:

Don’t be afraid to fail. Every success is shaped by setbacks — failure isn’t the end, it’s part of the process.

Do you have a "bucket list" piece of orchestral music that you have yet to play:

Ravel’s Daphnis et Chloé Suite No. 2 with full chorus
