Principal: West Bay Opera, Music in the Mountains. Mendocino Festival, Merola Opera, Skywalker Symphony. Sub: San Francisco Symphony including tours and recording, San Francisco Opera, Santa Rosa Sym, Monterey Sym, Reno Phil, Sac Phil,Opera SJ,etc.
Most memorable musical experience:
Jesse Norman with the George Cleve and the San Jose Symphony. Sitting with Yoyo Ma for Beethoven 7. His cello vibrated the floor underneath me. Sitting in on a private Emerson rehearsal of Berg.
And also playing the Brahms B Major piano trio with Alexander Traeger, concert master of the LA Phil.
If you weren't a musician, what would you be doing:
Maybe psych? I like helping people.
Hobbies:
Taking my dog to the beach and collecting shells that my daughter says I have to take back. “The creatures need the calcium.” Playing chamber music with my kids. That’s the best in the world. And also politics and historic architecture and places.

Milk for espresso. Eggs. Salad stuff.
If you could give one piece of advice to your younger self, what would it be:
Climb more mountains and practice more more often. Breathe. Listen to your inner self.

Any Mahler Symphony I haven’t done but especially the 6th as both of my kids have performed it and I haven’t!
